Peter Aubertin Hall, Elmore Road, beside the pond
Children's Birthday Parties
We welcome enquiries for children's parties for ages 0-12 on Saturday, Sunday and at other times subject to availability. The hall has plenty of space for a bouncy castle (you are responsible for ensuring that both you and your supplier have adequate insurance).
Other functions
Adult birthday parties (sorry, no 18th or 21st) / anniversary celebrations / weddings / baby showers / wakes and other one-off events or meetings. We also do not hire the hall for 'teenage parties.' The PAHall Management Committee made a decision not to allow teenage parties, in order to protect both the hall from damage and as a courtesy to our village neighbours. It is not our intention to reflect the attitude of Chipstead as a village, we manage the PAHall on behalf of St.Margaret's Church, and therefore have a responsibility to both the church and community.
Facilities
The maximum occupancy of the hall is 100.
The hall internal dimensions are 17 metres (55ft) long x 7 metres (22ft)wide; the stage encroaches about 1.5 metres. (4 feet)
There are tables and chairs to seat 100 and are located in the second cupboard along on the right hand side. They are standard size tables.
There is a kettle, urn, oven, hob, fridge and industrial dishwasher available.
Users of the church hall have access to the toilets (located off the foyer). The hall is fully wheelchair accessible.
There is a small car park at the front of the hall adjacent to Road which has parking for three cars. The car park at the Meads which is adjacent to the Rugby Club has more spaces which you are able to use.
Regular hirers
We have a number of groups who regularly hire the Peter Aubertin Hall which include bridge, play rehearsals brownies and rainbows. Chipstead Pre-School operates Monday to Friday during term time. From time to time we have availability for new regular hirers - please contact Deborah if you would like to discuss a regular booking.

General Information & Prices 2023
Hire of the Church Hall costs £80 per session payable in advance (09.30 to 1.30pm or 1.30pm to 5.30pm)
We also require a damage deposit of £100 which is payable in advance, and refunded only when it is confirmed that the hall has been left clean and tidy, that there is no damage and you have returned the key to the Post Office on Chipstead Parade after your party on the same day.
The hirer is responsible for all cleaning and all rubbish must be taken home with you as it is a rural area and there is wildlife around, and we do not have the facility to dispose of. The refuse bins on the Meads cannot be used unless it is for recycling.
You can only reheat already cooked food, for example, hot dogs, pizza, chips etc.
Provided the hall is left clean and tidy, there is no damage, all refuse is taken with you and keys are returned the same day. Your damage deposit will be refunded by BACS
We accept payment by either BACS or cash please
Prices valid until 30 September 2023
