APCM - Sunday 6th April, 11.30am

The PCC is required to hold an APCM (Annual Parochial Church meeting) at which reports are shared, accounts approved, new members and officers are elected, and questions may be asked about any area of the church’s ministry. Anyone may attend the annual eeting and raise questions.

At the APCM each year we have to appoint church wardens and fill any PCC vacancies. Both Tom Sanderson and Jen Smith are standing to be warden again. If anyone else wishes to stand please speak to Hannah in person or by phone.

Two members of the PCC have completed their first three year term. Both are standing for re-election. In addition we have one Deanery Synod casual vacancy which will be for a one year term. If you wish to stand for election to any of these positions please speak to Hannah for the correct forms. Nominations for PCC and Deanery Synod members can be received at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (provided there is evidence of acceptance by the nominee).

If you have any questions regarding the APCM please email Eamonn Davern who the PCC Secretary at secretary@smchipstead.org

Planning your Visit

Sunday Services

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at St Margaret’s Church for our Sunday Services . We usually have two services of differing styles on offer, Holy Communion will be celebrated at one of these services every week.

9am  This is a traditional service using liturgy from Common Worship, usually  with hymns
10.15am This is a more contemporay service with music led by our worship band, groups for children and young people and a longer sermon

We will hold a Unified service at 10am celebrating the best of both traditions. This will be for occasions such as Remembrance Sunday, Christmas Day, Easter Sunday, and our Patronal Festival. We will also come together as one church family when there is a 5th Sunday in the month.

In term time, children and young people start off in church at the 10.15am service and are invited to go to their groups although babies and children of all ages are welcome to stay in church at any time.
Contact our Youth and Community Leader for further details.

Coffee and tea is served after both services.

Accessibility: We have step-free access and a sound loop. There is an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities in both the church and the Orchard.
