Parish Pilgrimage
On Monday 6 May, we will be walking together from Mugswell to Netherne, via Chipstead and Hooley. Please join us for all or part of the walk, as we journey through our parish with God.
If you would like to be involved, please email Josh to let us know if you are coming (as well as if any others are too), and whether it is for all or part of the walk or prayer. If you are planning to park in Mugswell, please also indicate this so that we can arrange car sharing between there and Netherne so that you do not have to walk all the way back to your car!
You can join us in person for all or part of the walk, or just for when we will stop to pray in the heart of one of our communities. You can also pray for the walk from afar, about how God will guide us in the days and weeks around it!
Below is some of the key information, but if you have any other questions do contact Josh.
How can I get involved? - You can walk and pray with us, joining us for as much or as little as you would like! We would also love people to contribute prayers for our parish. If you are interested, please email Josh.
When and where is it? - We will start with morning prayer at 9:30am at Mugswell Hall, followed by a led walk stopping to pray at the PA hall (around 11:30am), St. Margaret's Church (around 12:30pm), Hooley green (around 2:15pm) and Netherne pavilion (around 3:00pm). If you would just like to join us at each of these locations to pray with us, that would also be very much appreciated!
What about food and drink? - Please bring your water bottle and lunch for the walk, as well as any snacks that you may need. There will be opportunity to refill bottles at Mugswell Hall and the PA Hall, as well as tea and coffee available at St. Margaret's and Netherne Pavilion.
Can I bring friends, family and even our dog? - Please bring along anyone or any dog that will be happy to journey with us! Do bear in mind the length of each section, that much of the walk will be on uneven ground and that morning prayer will be around 45 minutes.
